This is Us – Team TUVYC

10 years has flown by and the team has grown with the business. People tell me that TUVYC is all about ME but that is of course not true. At the moment we are running four parallel initiatives all under the same parent umbrella of TUVYC, and of course very closely related to each other and our core business of Superyacht market entry consultancy. That being said, keeping all these balls in the air takes lots of different kinds of talent and I’m proud of my how my team has grown.

Sarrah Macey from Global Superyacht Marketing is my right-hand lady who keeps the marketing and research teams running. She has great patience when listening to my ideas and also a special way of gently telling me off when I am going to start another great initiative 😉 We have been working together for nearly 8 years now and we met through a mutual friend of ours at the Monaco Yacht Show when she was just starting her own business. I believe I was her second client and we’ve never looked back.

Tara Smuts works very closely with Sarrah. She is our social media manager and is in charge of TUVYC`s different social platforms. Tara has a fantastic mix of first hand experience working on superyachts and a digital marketing background. Her ideas, pictures and eye for detail are immaculate. I was lucky to find Tara though our Life After Yachting portal. She responded to our first advert when we were expanding the marketing team and she fitted straight in.

Next to join the team was Melissa Heslop. We met sailing together under the Moorings flag at the beginning of the millennium. We became good friends but hadn’t seen each other for nearly 20 years as our working lives changed and children arrived. Two years ago the Life After Yachting platform proved its power again when I put an advert out on our social media looking for someone to bring LAY together and
coordinate the movement. Melissa sent me a message offering to join our team. That was a miracle from the past and now she works part time as the Life After Yachting Mum.

Superyacht Foodie has developed beyond our wildest dreams and is a very resourceful and ever-growing marketing and sourcing platform. We’ve now got three dedicated sourcing agents. Two in Finland and presently one in Sweden.

Hanne Husso lives in Liperi, Finland where my husband Mikko is from, and I first met her by accident on the local pizzeria terrace. Hanne has a long background in international food export and she also helps our Finnish clients with their branding and financing.

Tanja Davidov is our western Finland sourcing agent and she was originally involved with Superyacht Foodie as a client. She loved the concept and results of Superyacht Foodie and asked if she could become one of sourcing agents. She has extensive experience in logistics and a great black book of contacts within the food and drinks industry.

Maria Varnauskas is our sourcing agent in Sweden and found us via the Business Sweden, Taste Sweden program that helps Swedish companies join and succeed in the international market. She joined us a year ago and has engaged some great companies to SYF platform.

The Flying Finn is not a ski jumper in our organisation, but a commercial pilot from Finland, Kristina Tervo. Kristina is in charge of our Superyacht Foodie private aviation sales and marketing and she has a built a fabulous network in the private and commercial aviation sector around the world.

Last but not the least is our event manager and Superyacht Foodie Experience (SYFX) coordinator Gabrielle de Villoutreys. Gabi joined our team a few months ago and is now working full time on our newest SYFX initiative that will have its grand launch at the end of April.

Is that all? Not at all! We have a hard working support team working on our Superyacht Cluster research and learning platform and they are getting ready for our global launch very soon.

This is us. TUVYC`s women team supported by some men in the background. Without this great team I would not have so many skiing days a year!

Thank you all.
